Your Questions... Answered
What are medical trials?
They are a means of developing new, safe, and effective treatments to improve the provision of healthcare;
resulting in enhanced disease management and patient care.
Before a new treatment can be licensed, it must pass through 4 phases of medical trials. This is to ensure it is
safe to use and that it works.
Egin Research specializes in conducting phases 2, 3 & 4 medical trials.
How are these trials regulated?
All medical trials in the UK are authorised by the MHRA (Medicines and Health care products Regulatory Agency), an
institution responsible for the regulation of medicines and healthcare products. This is to ensure compliance
with Good Clinical Practice (GCP).
